Petra has been with MTIB since 2002 and started as a Workstep Development Officer. She now manages the Employment & Training team to deliver our current contracts to support disabled and disadvantaged into work.

Senior Employment and Training Officer
I have been with MTIB since 2005, originally starting on a graduate programme. My job has expanded over the years and my current role includes overseeing the Employment & Training team on a day to day basis, to ensure we deliver a quality service whilst supporting disabled and disadvantaged into work.
I have been with MTIB for the last three to four years on and off, but I have worked with MTIB for the last 15 years. Responsibilities in my current role range from managing a team of four employees whose mission in life is to enhance the well-being of disabled and disadvantaged people by honing their employment skills and finding meaningful employment. I enjoy my role immensely due to the fact that I get involved with so many people who I can make a difference to their lives.
Employment and Training Administration Officer
Been with MTIB since 2005 and started as Administration Assistant, which then led onto Senior Administration Officer and Workstep Development Officer. I currently work in the Admin department supporting staff on the various projects that are delivered here at MTIB. Since being employed at MTIB, I have been encouraged to develop my skills and training to progress within the various roles.

I have been with MTIB since 2012 and started as an Employment & Training support/ admin assistant. I have progressed into an Employment & Training Officer where I support disabled and disadvantaged to sustained employment.

- Began working at MTIB in March 2015 as an Administration Assistant, whilst working towards NVQ Business Administration Level 3 qualification. Currently working on various projects such as Workchoice and WCVA.
I have been with MTIB since 2013. Helped set up the LEAP project which has won an award for its innovative way with working with people with learning disabilities. Worked with former Remploy employees to help them move back into work. Now delivering the J2E project looking at new ways to support people move forward to achieving their goals and engaging them in training, volunteering and work.
Been with MTIB since May 2007 and started as a Workstep Admin Officer. Now work on Workchoice to support people with health conditions and disabilities into sustained employment.
Employer Engagement Officer
Joined MTIB in June 2017, working across all contracts throughout South Wales. My role is sourcing jobs and opportunities for customers, to enable them to gain experience and eventually move into sustainable employment. I enjoy networking and selling the benefits of working with MTIB to employers to place local, disadvantaged customers into work. There is no greater satisfaction than supporting someone to overcome their complex needs and barriers, raising confidence and motivation to enable them to gain employment and become a valued employee.
Joined MTIB in 2012. Part of the team finding employment for people with health conditions/disabilities. Worked in similar roles previously from 2004 but prior to this have a long history of working in commercial, industrial and public utilities in IT system developments.
