British Sign Language Training

Merthyr Tydfil Institute for the Blind (MTIB) are now teaching CACDP Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates in British Sign Language (BSL).

The 25 week course (2 hours per week) which starts at the end of October 2009, enables learners to communicate with deaf people in British Sign Language (BSL) or Irish Sign Language (ISL) on a range of topics that involve simple, everyday language use. The qualification is divided into 3 units, each of which can be achieved separately. All the courses are held at MTIB's state-of-the-art offices at Triangle Business Park, Pentrebach, Merthyr Tydfil.

The cost of the course is £180 which includes registration, attendance for the 25 week course and examination fees.
